The Carving Process
The image is carved into a thin sheet of marble by a machine that is computer driven. The machine uses a bit that carves any image that is loaded into the computer. After the carving is done, the marble is buffed to a high shine. Only the flat uncarved surface gets buffed. You end up with an unbelievable piece of work.
